Affirmation Station

Affirmation Station is an interactive, public sculpture that is designed to bring a little ray of light into someone's day and help them to feel empowered, loved, and appreciated. The sculpture has three displays, two of which state, 'You Are Strong', and 'You Are Important'. The third display uses an LED matrix to scroll various messages randomly out of a bank of 124 possible messages, showing things such as 'You Are Delightful', or, 'You Are Phenomenal'. Pressing the button will cause the sculpture to play one of 271 audio files which were recorded specifically for this work and make statements such as, 'Give yourself some credit, you've come pretty far!', or, 'The light in me thinks the light in you is freaking awesome! Namaste'.
